It is a privilege to welcome you to Ireleth St Peter’s Church of England Primary School.
Ireleth St Peter’s is a very special school, with a strong family feel and close links to the community we serve. At the heart of our school is a commitment to ensuring that every child is known, valued and supported to thrive.
We are fortunate to have a wonderful school building and fantastic outdoor spaces, including our purpose-built outdoor classroom. We make full use of these opportunities to provide our children with a rich range of experiences, both within and beyond the classroom, enabling them to develop academically, socially and emotionally.
Our Christian values are central to the life of Ireleth St Peter’s. Working alongside our dedicated staff and governors, I am committed to ensuring these values are lived out each day through a caring, respectful and inclusive environment. We want every child to feel happy, safe and secure, with the confidence and encouragement they need to achieve their very best.
One of the strengths of our school is the close relationships we are able to build with our children and families. Our small class sizes, excellent resources and dedicated staff allow us to understand each child as an individual, recognise their strengths and provide the support and challenge they need to succeed.
As Acting Headteacher, I am incredibly proud to lead Ireleth St Peter’s and to work alongside our pupils, staff, governors, families and wider community. Together, we want our children to leave us as confident, hardworking and compassionate young people, well prepared for the next stage of their education and for the opportunities ahead.
I hope you find our website useful and that it gives you a sense of what makes Ireleth St Peter’s such a happy and welcoming school. However, the best way to get to know our school is to come and see us. If you would like any further information or would like to arrange a visit, please contact the school office on 01229 462753 or admin@irelethst-peters.cumbria.sch.uk.
I look forward to welcoming you to Ireleth St Peter’s.
Mrs Sarah Kidson
Acting Headteacher
