Computing is an integral part of day to day life for us all, we find that early exposure for all pupils in school helps develop their skills from an early age and provides the future generations with the necessary skills for adult life and employment within the ever-changing technological environment we live in. Although the programmes we teach now will not be those of the future, we work hard in preparing our children for the unknown digital world.
A high-quality computing education equips pupils to use computational thinking and creativity to understand and change the world. Computing has deep links with mathematics, science and design and technology, and provides insights into both natural and artificial systems. As well as the discrete Computing lessons, the children here at ISP receive, we ensure that technology is embedded throughout the curriculum.
We see E-Safety as a central focus of all Computing teaching and learning. E-safety is built in to all topics as well as us hosting regular E-Safety focus days and events. Every class throughout school displays the same E-Safety poster to ensure all children recognise this as they move classrooms.

This term, Shark Class are developing their Word Processing skills. They have currently explored tables, fonts and editing.
Whale Class have been thinking about E-Safety this term, they have learnt a song to remember what to do if they see things that aren’t age appropriate. They have also completed ‘helping hands’ which included five trusted adults that they could talk to if they ever needed to.
