Attendance

Attendance Policy

Here at Ireleth St Peter's (ISP), the governos are committed to the principles stated in our policy. We believe sincerely that all pupils benefit from the education we provide, and therefore from regular school attendance. In order to achieve this, we take appropriate action to ensure that all pupils achieve the maximum possible attendance and that any problems, which may impede attendance, are acted on promptly.

Regular attendance reviews take place and where attendance falls below 95%, 90% and 85%, letters are sent home and attendance monitored more closely. Certificates and Class Dojo points are awarded for the class with the highest weekly attendance. End of year awards are also presented.

Absence from school will not be authorised unless it meets the following criteria: medical appointment, illness, serious illness of a family member, religious observance or an educational/sporting competition. Unauthorised absences will be monitored and referrals made to the Local Authority.
